• Job Description

  The Safety Officer 2 (SO2) inspects site conditions, trained by DOLE or DOLE-accredited Training Organization
  and implements an OSH program. Ensures that the OSH program is in accordance with the provisions of OSH
  standards. Complies with DOLE requirements and ensures a safe and healthy environment for all the workers
  assigned in the project.
  STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures that construction workers and staff follow established safety policy and procedure
  • Conducts site inspection to be aware of potential hazards in the workplace
  • Works with the Manager (HSSE) in developing policies that reduce the risk of accidents
  • Keeps up-to-date on latest safety regulations as directed by DOLE
  • Conducts Incident/ Accident investigations to identify the cause and recommend corrective measures
  • Ensures proper implementation of corrective actions
  • Suspends work where conditions are unsafe for the construction workers
  • Conducts Toolbox meeting and train workers on safety topics required by OSHA
  • Prepares reports related to Health, Safety, Security and Environment
  • Ensures that safety procedures are aligned with the quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Performs other duties that maybe assigned or required
