Job Description
- Establishes VPN, LAN, WAN and DMZ specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; defining network administration policies and procedures, including interface configuration and routing protocols. - Continually improves the networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. - Secures the networks by developing and implementing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation systems; maintaining documentation; defining and enforcing security policies and procedures. - Administer, maintain and update physical servers, virtual servers, NAS, desktop computers, laptops, printers, routers, switches, access points, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, and smartphones. - Manage software applications and software license deployment; keep up to date with software and OS security patches. - Manage the activities, allocation, and assignment of the IT Team that align with the company and client’s requirements. - Monitor and maintain the quality and efficiency of the IT Team. - Assist the IT Manger to prepare and implement action plans to improve IT Team performance, quality, and efficiency. - Mentor the network administration staff and provide training and professional development opportunities for the IT Team. - Train newly hired IT staff in the team’s tasks and responsibilities. - Serve as a bridge between teams, clients and upper management. - Prepare and present regular, clear and concise reports regarding the status of various projects undertaken. - Prepare and present clear and concise reports regarding IT related issues that affected operations. - Prepare documents and reports for clients, upper management, and third-party vendors. - Other tasks that the management may require according to client requirements from time to time.
