    The Japanese Interpreter acts as a key linguistic and cultural bridge between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and the
    organization. This role involves real-time interpretation, document translation, and facilitating effective communication in
    meetings, negotiations, and collaborative projects. The Interpreter also provides cultural insights to ensure mutual
    understanding and alignment with Japanese norms, supporting the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate is highly
    proficient in both Japanese and English, adaptable, and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

    <Language Support and Accuracy>
    -Provide accurate and timely interpretation and translation for meetings, documents, and correspondence.
    -Act as a linguistic mediator during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.

    <Cultural Guidance and Adaptation>
    -Provide cultural insights to facilitate understanding and collaboration between Japanese stakeholders and local teams.
    -Assist in adapting company materials to align with Japanese cultural norms.

    <Support for Operational Processes>
    -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects requiring bilingual communication and documentation.

    <Training and Development>
    -Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on industry-specific terminology and best practices.
    -Mentor and support local staff in learning basic Japanese phrases and cultural etiquette.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    <MUST>
    -Bachelor’s Degree
    -JLPT N3 or higher preferred (but not required)
    -Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) and English.
    -In-depth understanding of Japanese culture and business etiquette, preferred (but not required)
    -Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to mediate effectively.
    -1-2 years of professional interpretation or translation experience, preferably corporate.
    -Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
    -Collaborative attitude with the ability to work across diverse teams.
    -Familiarity with interpretation tools and basic proficiency in MS Office.
