The Consumer Underwriting Department plays a crucial role in evaluating insurance applications, assessing risks, and making appropriate underwriting decisions. This department is also responsible for structuring reinsurance programs and optimizing operational processes to enhance overall profitability.
Job Responsibilities
1. Department Goal Setting & Strategy Development
・Establish departmental goals and strategies in alignment with company policies.
2. Underwriting Management & Approval
・Evaluate and approve insurance applications.
・Plan and propose reinsurance programs.
・Regularly review and update underwriting guidelines.
3. Process Optimization & Cross-Department Coordination
・Collaborate with other departments to improve operations.
・Review and enhance workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Talent Development & Department Management
・Provide guidance, training, and evaluation of staff.
・Manage departmental budgets and business plans.
5. External Relations & Knowledge Development
・Participate in industry conferences and events to stay updated on the latest trends.
・Represent the company in external professional organizations.

Qualifications & Requirements
<MUST>
・Bachelor's degree
・Minimum of 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
・Completion of advanced courses in various non-life insurance fields
・Underwriting licenses in at least three major insurance categories (Property, Marine, Casualty, Surety)
・Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
・Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
・Proven management and leadership experience英語
